Privacy notice

Hourmark Care runs hourmarkcare.com and a pilot service in California that records when paid caregivers check in and out of a client's home. This notice explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

When you sign up on this website

• We collect what you type into a form: your name, email address or phone number, and, on the fiduciary page, your firm, role and number of clients.
• We use it only to contact you about the pilot. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
• To stop automated sign-ups, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to 24 hours.

When a home joins the pilot

• The person receiving care: the name caregivers will see, the home's address and map location, and the care schedule.
• Caregivers: name and mobile number, the time of each check-in and check-out, the phone's location at those two moments only (latitude, longitude and accuracy), and any note the caregiver writes.
• Families, fiduciaries and other contacts: names, contact details, and who should receive records and alerts.
• What we never collect: audio, video or photos, or anyone's location between check-in and check-out.

We set up a home only after the person receiving care, or someone with legal authority for them, agrees. Every caregiver gets written notice before their first shift.

Records are seen by the family member or fiduciary responsible for the care, the people they choose to share them with, and our coordinator. Each caregiver can see every record about them. Monthly exports say whether a check-in was at the home and how far away it was, not the raw coordinates.

Service providers

• Cloudflare hosts this website and our database.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on these pages, so your browser contacts Google, which receives your IP address.
• If we send codes or alerts by text message, a text-message provider delivers them.

We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep sign-up details until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them to contact you about the pilot. For pilot homes, we agree on how long records are kept with the client or their representative before setup.

Your choices

Email hello@hourmarkcare.com to see, correct or delete information about you. We'll confirm we received your request and respond within 45 days. Caregivers can see their records on their check-in page at any time and can ask us to correct them.

Do Not Track

This site doesn't track you across other websites, so it works the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Children

This site isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Security

Every page uses an encrypted connection. We store only one-way hashes of log-in and device identifiers, and we limit who can see records. No system is perfectly secure; if you think something is wrong, email us right away.

Changes

If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects pilot clients, we'll tell them directly.
